Amsterdam Walk Community Meeting (RESCHEDULED)

The joint neighborhood meeting to discuss the Amsterdam Walk redevelopment has been rescheduled. Details below. Aaron Fortner (AICP), who is leading the meeting, is the Principal and Founder of the Canvas Planning Group. He has 25 years of experience in community planning, design and development. His skill set includes master planning, corridor planning, urban design, land use and zoning, and community engagement. Aaron has worked substantially with both Morningside and Virginia-Highland for many years.

Many thanks to Red Light Cafe for hosting us. Every Wednesday, the Gordon Vernick Quartet perform a few numbers then invite other musicians and singers to join them on stage for a Jazz Jam Session. Whether you're a professional or amateur musician, you're welcome to sit in — everyone who wants to perform will be given a chance to play. ($10 at the door. $5 for performers/students with ID. Doors open 8:00pm. Show at 9:00pm.)

  • The Morningside Lenox Park Association (MLPA) and Virginia-Highland Civic Association (VHCA) welcome all residents to a joint community meeting regarding Portman Holdings' redevelopment of Amsterdam Walk.
